It's a beautiful sunny day here in Chester. Whilst worlds fall apart, families stay together. And wider communities become more important than ever.
This is when democratic socialism finds its own justification. Sixteen years of boom have taken the edge off our appetite for more radical change - as perhaps was the intention. Now it's time to reassess the realities.
The planet will still have beautiful days, even though its inhabitants suddenly see their dreams and illusions disintegrate into dust.
When you have children, you have to protect them from these kinds of situations. When you learn how to protect them, you learn how to protect yourself.
